How Do I Roll Back a Backup Using JetBackup?

If something went wrong with your site or files, you can easily restore an earlier version using JetBackup in cPanel.

To restore a full backup:

1. Log in to cPanel

2. Scroll down to the JetBackup section

3. Click “Full Account Backups”

4. Locate the backup you want to restore (by date)

5. Click the “Restore” button next to it

6. Confirm the restore and wait for it to complete

This will restore everything — including files, databases, emails, and settings — to the selected date.

To restore specific parts:

Want to restore just a database, file, or email account?

JetBackup gives you fine-grained restore options:

Files: Click “File Backups”, browse, and restore selected files

Databases: Click “Database Backups” and choose the one you want

Email Accounts: Go to “Email Backups” and restore a specific mailbox

⚠️ Important: Restoring a backup will overwrite your current files/data. We recommend downloading a copy of your current state before restoring, just in case.
